In our western world we can become very focused on our individuality and what we get out of life and from others. Christian community, made up of precious individuals, places emphasis on how we relate to one another. It is remarkable how many “one another” sayings there are in the New Testament. There are many commands and encouragements for God’s people to “one another …”! Over the next three weeks we will examine some of them and place them in the context of our vision and mission—that in Christ we are disciples, family and witnesses. Our identity in Christ could be categorised into three dimensions: An upward, an inward, and an outward dimension.
