The Resurrection Project

March 16, 2016

Summary

In a debate between Richard Dawkins and John Lennox, Dawkins was clear what he thinks of Jesus’ resurrection:

Well, there you have it. Just when you think Professor Lennox is making a case for an intelligent designer, he brings up the resurrection of Jesus. It’s so petty; it’s so parochial; it’s so beneath the universe.

Starting on Easter Sunday we will consider, in some detail, the significance of Jesus’ resurrection based on the last two chapters of 1 Corinthians. Here are the topics:

  • 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, “Of first importance”
  • 1 Corinthians 15:12-19, “If Christ has not been raised…”
  • 1 Corinthians 15:20-28, “The first fruits of those who have died”
  • 1 Corinthians 15:29-34, “Danger every hour”
  • 1 Corinthians 15:35-49, “Death of death”
  • 1 Corinthians 15:50-58, “God, who gives us the victory”
  • 1 Corinthians 16, “The Resurrection hope at work”
