Salvation History

While the Bible is made up of 66 books and many different human authors, it is one unified story. As we start the period of Lent, a time often of self-disciple and growth, we will be focusing on that very framework of one united story with Jesus as the hero. As Lent comes to a conclusion at Easter we get to Jesus’ saving work on the cross, in fulfillment of the Old Testament scriptures. When the Church calendar gets to Ascension and Pentecost, we pick up the story again, to include some wisdom literature and the significance of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church. Here is the entire series that puts all of the bible into one story of ‘Salvation History’.
