When the Apostle Peter wrote his second letter, he wrote a warm encouragement to believers to grow in their faith, watch out for false teachings and to live in anticipation of Christ’s return. He was explicit about his goal (so believers can be ‘Firmly Established’ (1:12); to simulate wholesome thinking (3:1)).
