Summary
As a foreigner in an overseas country I was given an identity card officially called an “Alien Card”! I didn’t get to the country by UFO, and though I love that country, I just didn’t belong. 1 Peter is written to such people, Christians, who don’t ‘belong’ to this world. Our citizenship is ultimately in heaven. How then are we to live in this world is still critical, as 1 Peter very helpful shows us. Because of covid-19 my planning is not as firm as normal (hmmm what is God teaching me in that?!), but this is the plan so far… (dates aren’t locked in)
- Receive abundant grace and peace, 1 Peter 1:1-2 (May 3)
- Take hold of your living hope, 1 Peter 1:3-12 (May 10)
- Learn to love from the Heart, 1 Peter 1:13-2:3 (May 17)
- Live the good life, 1 Peter 2:4-12 (May 24)
- Form and keep right relationships, 1 Peter 2:13-25 (May 13)
