Summary
Last year, in the height of lockdown and Zoom church we started a series from 1 Peter, now we are coming back to finish it off.
For a few years I lived as “foreigner” in an overseas country, and I was given an identity card which was officially called an “Alien Card”! I didn’t get to the country by UFO, and though I love that country, I just didn’t belong–I was an alien.
1 Peter is written to people, Christians, who don’t ‘belong’ to this world. Our citizenship is ultimately in heaven. How we are to live in this world, is still critical, as 1 Peter very helpful shows us. The section we are up too is very practical, dealing with household relationships, living under suffering, and living with the end in sight.
